I have a very easy reason why I chose Norwich for this. This school has been teaching military history for almost 200 years. Why not come to the school that’s been teaching it that long to actually learn the subject?
One of the aspects of the program that I think is going to help me professionally is that I had the opportunity to become a better writer through working through the excellent faculty in the Military History program; that was a specific goal of mine coming into the program, was learning how to write like a historian rather than like a lawyer and the relationship that I have with the faculty was like a mentorship. And they’ve been very, very helpful in that regard.
Upon graduating from her program, Mary Hall joined Norwich University as a course instructor.
